The official rules of the Healthy Harbor Wildlife Photo Contest:


People of all ages and skill levels may submit photographs.


This photograph contest is sponsored by: the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore, 650 S Exeter St, Suite 200, Baltimore, MD 21202.


The Photograph Contest begins February 13th, 2017 and ends on March 29st, 2017 at 12:00am. Entries submitted after the entry period will not be eligible.


The Waterfront Partnership’s Healthy Harbor Initiative is dedicated to making the Harbor swimmable and fishable because we want to protect the creatures living there, and make it safe for human recreation. Please submit photographs of wildlife seen in the Baltimore City region to exhibit the fact that there is abundance of life surrounding and in the Harbor!

Maximum of 3 photographs per person must be of wildlife in the Baltimore City region. Also include in submission:

  • Date of photograph
  • Location where photograph was taken
  • Species name
  • Brief story behind the photograph

The Healthy Harbor team will judge the photos on their quality, composition, relevance, and the story behind the photo. The winners will be notified in April, 2016.


The winning photos will be featured in the Healthy Harbor Report Card with the two additional prizes of:

1st Place: $350 cash

2nd Place: $150 cash


By sending in your photos, you are granting Waterfront Partnership the right to feature them in the Healthy Harbor Report Card and associated materials with photo credit. You will retain all other rights to your photos.
