PANDORA ICE RINK AT BALTIMORE’S INNER HARBOR

In 2015, after a ten-year absence, Baltimore’s Inner Harbor Ice Rink re-opened in the heart of downtown and immediately became the center of holiday activities in Baltimore. In just the first few weeks, our mayor, Kimmie Meissner, the Ravens, Under Armour employees, Naval Academy members, and thousands of Baltimoreans took to the iceand brought friends back time and time again.

There was widespread media coverage of the opening, with The Baltimore Sun and all four local TV stations reporting.

The Inner Harbor Ice Rink sits in the heart of downtown, with over 100,000 employees within a five-minute walk, 88,000 cars traveling by every month, and fourteen million visitors to the harbor every year.

Simply put, ice skating makes people happy, and the benefits of associating with the rink are many. As a sponsor of the Inner Harbor Ice Rink, your company will receive immense visibility, as well as be credited with creating a unique and affordable family recreation venue.

STARTING SPONSORSHIP LEVELS

Title Sponsor: (SOLD – PANDORA JEWELRY)
  • Venue Naming: “Waterfront Partnership” Rink at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.
  • Category Exclusivity: You will receive category exclusivity, and be the lone title sponsor of the rink.
  • Press Conference/Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: We will organize a press conference and invite the mayor, media entities, and sponsor representatives to announce the opening of the rink. Our sponsors can provide their own materials/release for inclusion in press kits and distribution to media members.
  • Media Inclusion: Title ID in all press releases, website, marketing materials, and opt-in subscriber based email blasts.
  • Zamboni: Option to have it wrapped with company logo and message.
  • Custom Dasher Boards: Company logo and messaging on four boards surrounding the rink.
  • Logo on Staff Uniforms: Option to have the company logo printed on uniforms.
  • Sponsor Activation: Ability to distribute promotional items and sell at McKeldin Plaza for the duration of the season.
  • Sponsor Employees: Option to have a private party held at the ice rink for employees or customers.
  • Baltimore Community: Option to create special programming for school and community groups.
  • Sponsor Mascot: Option to have promotional character on-site for community interaction and promotional skates.
  • Sponsor Appreciation:
    • Seventy-five general admission tickets to the rink.
    • Six season passes to the rink.
Amenity Sponsor: $50,000
  • Category Exclusivity: You will receive category exclusivity, and be the lone sponsor of selected amenity (Skate Shack, Concession Area, or Warming Tent).
  • Media Inclusion: Supporting ID in all press releases, website, marketing materials, and opt-in subscriber based email blasts.
  • Sponsor Activation:
    • One week during the season designated as “Sponsor Week”, offering agreed-upon, company-specific promotions.
    • Ability to distribute promotional items and sell at McKeldin Plaza for one week of the season.
  • Sponsor Appreciation:
    • Fifty general admission tickets to the rink.
    • Four season passes to the rink.
Supporting Sponsor: $25,000
  • Media Inclusion: Supporting ID in all press releases, website, marketing materials, and opt-in subscriber based email blasts.
  • Sponsor Activation:
    • One day during the season designated as “Sponsor Day”, offering agreed-upon, company-specific promotions.
    • Ability to distribute promotional items and sell at McKeldin Plaza for one day of the season.
  • On-Site: Sponsor will receive one custom dasher board with company logo or message.
  • Sponsor Appreciation:
    • Twenty-five general admission tickets to the rink.
    • Two season passes to the rink.

EVENT SPONSORSHIP

We proudly produce family-friendly events and programs to activate our Waterfront public spaces, attract local visitors, and provide ever more reasons to visit the harbor. Our year-round programs and events include:

    • Shamrock Shindig. Irish eyes are always smiling at the Waterfront Partnership’s Annual Shamrock Shindig! This event takes place Sunday before St.Patrick’s Day at Pierce’s Park, located at Pier 5. Live music is featured by Barleyjuice, a Celtic band from Philly. There’s Shamrock Alley for the kids, and there are also food trucks, bar service, strolling entertainment, and much more.
    • Summer Socials. Hundreds of Baltimoreans enjoy our monthly summer concerts at West Shore Park, featuring live music by a local artist, food trucks, beer, wine, and mixed drinks, a Playworks kids play area, and the Walter Sondheim Interactive Fountain.
    • Waterfront Wellness. Thousands of fitness-minded individuals head to the Waterfront to have a blast working out with us May 23rd through September 20th.
    • Waterfront Behind the Scenes. This is a new informational and networking series that will literally take you behind the scenes to discover and learn about things you never even knew were happening or even possible at our own harbor.
    • Waterfront Play. Designed for Baltimore families, Waterfront Play features free interactive children’s programming at West Shore Park, located between the Visitor’s Center and the Maryland Science Center in the Inner Harbor. Park Play Ambassadors will be on-site to facilitate play and organize games for all ages.
    • Harbor Harvest. Our annual Harbor Harvest Children’s Festival brings the country to the city. Featuring the IKEA urban pumpkin patch, a petting zoo, a hay maze, face painting, pumpkin decorating, pony rides, live music, food trucks, and much more.

We love helping to create entertaining events at our beautiful, sought-after Waterfront parks, and we are committed to providing free and low-cost attractions for the public to enjoy.

If you’re considering organizing a concert, performance, product launch, wedding, party, or any other type of event at one of our parks, we’re here for you! Our Events Team will be happy to go over the permitting process with you. Please note that there is a fee for this, and also that applications must be submitted at least eight weeks prior to your selected event date.
